I have used these hand writing sheets for children to practise their letter formation. I use in conjunction with tactile materials such as sandpaper letters, sand tray ipad app or making my own gel packs.
The idea is that the children practise the correct formation using one of the above methods. They then trace the large letter with one colour, then go over it again and again with different colours. Finally they finish by completing the other letters and words.
