My go to no cook playdough recipe

My go to no cook playdough recipe
July 31, 2015 No Comments Teaching Ideas montessorisoul

Over the past few years I have refined this recipe so it works for me.  So easy it can be done with a hand mixing bowl but I find it easier in the mixer!!

Freya and Seb love playdough and the creative freedom it offers – they can concentrate for hours – great for the holidays!!

We have been playing with white playdough and crayola pens recently the colours are amazing!!  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of salt
1 tbs cream of tartar
1 tbs vegetable oil
Colour – for bright colours we use brusho or if you need to make sure it is edible Wilton food colour gel.
1 cup Boiling water

Instructions:

  1.  Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  2. Add the colour to a cup of boiling water. If you are using brusho you or colour gel you really don’t need very much!
  3. Mix together until it all comes together in a ball.
  4. Knead well for about 3 minutes until silky smooth.

As always we hope you enjoy this too!  If you have any questions or feedback please email me info@montessorisoul.com .
