Willow Star wand
Earlier in the year we planted some willow. We decided to harvest some and make these lovely willow wands.
Once we cut it we then stripped all of the leaves off. I presume that you could use and fresh, thin tree branch if you don’t have willow.
Instructions:
Make a bend in the willow about 1/3 of the way from the bottom. (See above)
Next make another bend and bring the willow underneath the bottom 1/3.
Now bend it back over and then weave it through the triangle you have made.
Finally bend the willow back over the top and the down through to complete your star.
Wrap the end of the willow around the main stem and then tuck it in to hold it tight.
The perfect wand for halloween!
